CNC Milling machinist Permanent

Eco Personnel are currently recruiting  for Toolmaker / CNC Milling machinist for our client based in Mansfield.

This position, working as part of the team within a toolmaking/development department, is the perfect stepping stone for a skilled CNC machinist (milling) seeking to further develop their career towards tool making.

Applicants should have the ability to set and operate milling machinery (GF/Bridgport), running Heindenhain software.

Working Monday to Friday, the role will also involve benchwork and the use of other specialist equipment for which training will be provided (EDM CNC wire eroders, Spark eroders and so forth). 

The Primary purpose of the team is to produce machine and mould tools and jigs

Main duties and responsibilities

• Effective operation of CNC Millers and CAM software
• Assist in the production of jigs and fixtures.
• Work from engineering drawings to produce and/or modify mould tools
•  Occasional operation, where required, of manual machines (millers and lathes
• To identify tooling requirements
• To function test, evaluate and document all component trials and development.
• Identify and solve Mechanical/Manufacturing issues in the current product range in conjunction with Inspection and Design departments, as required.

Desirable Knowledge  

• Conversant with all traditional machining and fitting practices.
• Toolmaking experience
• Time Served apprenticeship or a HND in Mechanical Engineering
• Attention to detail
• Experience in the use of all Microsoft Office packages
• General knowledge of Injection Moulding

A highly competitive salary £35000- £37000 p/a  is supported with exceptional working conditions, bonus scheme, subsidised health-care and pension package.

Hours of work 7.30am – 4.30pm (option of flexi-hours).
