Visual Impairment Teacher required for our client based in Mansfield.

Summary

As a Visual Impairment Teacher, you will be instrumental in providing specialized education and support to students with visual impairments. Reporting to the school’s administration, your role focuses on developing tailored lesson plans that enhance learning and promote independence. This role requires patience, empathy and a positive attitude towards working with learners of varied cognitive abilities.

You will have experience of working with and supporting individuals with a visual impairment and be passionate about making a positive difference to individuals’ lives.

To excel within this role, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with the team to share your specialist skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
• Utilize effective teaching strategies to enhance learning and engagement.
• Assess students’ progress and adapt instructional methods accordingly.
• Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to support students’ needs.
• Provide training and resources for staff on visual impairment awareness.
• Maintain clear communication with students and their families regarding progress and challenges.

Qualifications needed

· You will be a Qualified Teacher for Visual Impairment. (QTVI)

· You will hold a Qualified Teacher Status.

Working Hours

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.

Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and to provide proof of their right to work in the UK.

Salary

£34,449.00-£38,821.00 per year
